Marvelina Chapter 8 Part 1

While searching for Marvelina in the ancient home of Grandmother Spider, Shavana learns about a tragedy that happened there.

Shavana extended the length of each breath, inhaling and exhaling in rhythm, and slowing down her heartbeat. She stretched the spaces between the words of her thoughts, attuning herself to the bass vibrations of the ancient trees. She heard the language of anguish calling from the past, still vibrating in the present. She saw a flash of light fall from the sky, the trees shake, and giant limbs crash to the ground. A small ship crashed to the forest floor.
