Grandmother Spider speaks in rhyme and most of the time is hard to understand.

“You will see when you look for the signs.”

“See what?” demanded Marvelina.

“Hee, Hee, Hee. Where will you go? Who will you meet? Do you want to know if death is bitter or sweet?”

“Are you Grandmother Spider?”

“That’s me. I’m Grandmother Spider. I hang from this tree.”
